St. John’s Time to Grow Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes are bursting with joy and excitement, especially during the Christmas season! We are so thankful that we are able to gather and learn together every day! And the best part?! Not only do we get to learn important things like social skills and math and reading skills, but we get to pray together and learn about Jesus EVERY DAY! 

Both classes have been enjoying learning about the true Christmas story. Our sanctuary was filled with family and friends as we delivered the message of Christ’s birth! Our program theme this year is Christmas in the Kitchen while students used cookies to help tell about Mary and Joseph’s journey, and of course, the amazing thing that happened once they arrived in Bethlehem–Jesus was born! It is amazing to hear the story of Christ’s birth retold by preschoolers! 

In the classroom, boys and girls are enjoying playing with many Christmas themed toys, games, and activities. We can often be found decorating Christmas trees, putting together nativity puzzles, playing with plastic nativity sets and telling the Christmas story with our friends, and of course, making many fun art projects! Walking down our hallway, you will see fun gingerbread men, glittery angels, glistening Christmas trees, manger scenes, candy canes, and beautifully decorated wreaths adorning the lockers and walls!

We are so blessed to be a part of a wonderful school and church where we can learn about Jesus and tell about his great love! And the Christmas message is such an important and FUN one to share with everyone! Jesus was born to be our savior and that is something to certainly celebrate!
