Summer Blast Recap

Take 46 kids in grades 1-6, add 22 preschool-Kindergarteners, stir in several staff members, mix well and top with water, sand, games, books, computers, toys, and lots of fresh air. Sprinkle with love and friendship and you have the recipe for Summer Blast! 

It was a very busy summer at St. John’s. Every day was filled with play, projects, a bit of learning, and lots of laughter. We took the bus for four field trips. Some of our younger friends joined us on three of them. We saw a play, jumped around at Pump it Up, played at Chutes and Ladders, and went to Como Zoo. We walked to Clayhole Beach each week (best day of the week) while our younger friends enjoyed a water day on the playground. Everyone had fun during VBS and Pastor Barry or Mrs. Brown did a short chapel with us every week. The Ice Cream Princess Truck made three visits to us. We sure enjoyed the sweet treats! We were blessed with a wonderful caring staff who lovingly shared Jesus’ love, kindness and joy with all the kids. It truly was a blast!
