St. John’s Time to Grow Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes are overflowing with joy and excitement! We are very excited for spring to be here! The best part of our early learning center is that we get to learn important things like math, literacy, and social skills, but we also get to pray together and learn about Jesus EVERY day! 

Both classes have been learning about spring and are starting to learn about the Easter story. Preschool has been learning about all the different colors and learning about the beautiful rainbows God paints in the sky for us. Pre-K students have learned that we are Jesus’ sheep and have painted handprint sheep! Pre-K also painted palm branches this week and learned that blue and yellow paint mixed together makes green! 

Preschool has a fun Easter dramatic play area set up, where children play with plastic eggs and baskets, too! While parts of the Easter story are very sad, we rejoice with the happy ending! It’s so fun to be able to see children retell the amazing true story of how Jesus died, but then rose again on Easter, so that someday we will get to be with him in Heaven!  

I feel so blessed to be part of a wonderful school and church where we can learn about Jesus and tell about his great love! Jesus was born to be our savior and died a painful death on the cross. He rose from the dead, after conquering all evil, and that is something to certainly celebrate! We pray that you have a wonderful Easter and that you too enjoy celebrating our risen Lord!
