St. John’s has a partnership with Lutheran Special Education Ministries (LSEM), a Christian ministry, to provide specialized services to help guide student success. LSEM provides Acadience assessments (formerly DIBELS), access to award-winning educational software, trainings, and educational and interventional materials.
LSEM Services
Students receiving LSEM services may be identified with an IEP, but services can also be recommended by the classroom teacher. Direct instruction may include, but is not limited to Reading, Written Language, Math, or Social Skills. Consultation services are provided upon request from the classroom teacher or parents. Collaboration with Eastern Carver County Schools (District 112) is provided for students who are undergoing a district-led evaluation or receive special education services through the district.
