
Kendra Gilmore
Principal
Kendra was called to St. John’s in 2018 and serves as Principal. She also teaches junior high math. Her favorite part of working at St. John’s is building relationships with students and their families to help them succeed. Kendra graduated from Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska, in 2008 and earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Technology and Design from Concordia University, Wisconsin, in 2014. She taught 5th and 6th grade for 10 years in St. Charles, MO, and Corcoran, MN, before being called to St. John’s.
In 2018, she completed the SLED Program (School Leadership Development) through the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and in 2021, she completed the Van Lunen Program (Executive Management Training for Principals in Christian Schools) through Calvin University.
Kendra and her husband, Josh, have three children: Addison, Caden, and Landon. Addison is a freshman at Southwest Christian, and Caden and Landon attend St. John’s. Kendra loves spending time with her family. Her favorite hobbies include camping, traveling, reading, playing the piano, and coaching.
